NIA President Seang-Tae Kim participated as a keynote speaker at the ¡®e-Smart World Asia 2011¡¯ which was held in collaboration with KOTRA and was held in Singapore on February 23rd ~ 24th, 2011.

From this meeting, IT project employers, buyers, cooperative partners from Southeast Asia, Australia and Korean enterprises were looking to further their IT business cooperation in the region.

Furthermore, relating to the ¡®Smart Government¡¯ which currently the government is propelling, by presenting Korea¡¯s experience and development strategies, NIA President Kim was looking forward to an opportunity in activating e-Government and contributing to various parts in Asia.

Commencing with President Seang-Tae Kim¡¯s keynote speech on Korea¡¯s own e-government and informatization experiences and know-how could be shared with the participants. Later, meetings with IT related high officials from Southeast Asia such as Ronnie Tay, CEO of Infocomm Development Agency (IDA) from Singapore, Phu Leewood the Secretary General of National Information Communication Technology Development Authority (ICTDA) from Cambodia etc¡¦provided a further chance to discuss and find areas of IT cooperation.

NIA is willing to continually put effort on interacting and cooperating with not only the Developing Countries but also e-Government Developed Countries such as Singapore and Australia so this meeting was an excellent backdrop in meeting this aim.
